The Express

Update 10/13/08 Boca Raton:  The club held one of its most successful events last night (10/12/08) for the showing of the movie, the Express.  Over 60 members turned out for lunch, a fund raiser, and the movie showing.

Wally Bobkiewicz wrote the following article on the Syracuse University Alumni Listserver September 13, 2008:

The movie lives up to expectations.  It is a must see for anyone who has every gone to school here and every fan of SU football.

I attended the premiere and the after party last night (along with several other SUAA Board members).  It rained on and off here yesterday, but no rain as folks gathered for the premiere between 6:00 and 7:30 PM.  There was indeed the promised "orange carpet" arrivals in front of the theater.  Many members of the 1959 National Championship team, legends Jim Brown and Floyd Little and all of the stars of the movie.  Continued...

08/08/08 - Robert Schuldenfrei, e.newsletter editor, has taken over the responsibilities for maintaining this website.  The goal is to make the site accurate, timely, and good looking.  We vow to post any changes within 48 hours, sooner if possible.  The site now sports a clean and modern appearance.

11/01/05 - SUACSF Alumni Association hopes that all our fellow alumni made it through Wilma okay.

Hurricane Katrina

09/01/05  When hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, club members responded to the need with contributions to the Red Cross and other relief organizations. 


Shuttle Discovery piloted by '78 Alumni

07/01/05 - Congratulations to space shuttle Discovery Commander Eileen Collins '78 on a successful mission, unprecedented spacewalk and a safe landing back on Earth, AugustShuttle Discovery 9th!   STS-114 is the fourth Shuttle flight for Commander Eileen Collins, who became the first woman to command a Shuttle mission in 1999.

 

 

   

Congratulations

11/10/04 - David Mironov and Eric Handis, SUACSF Co-Presidents, have won the 2004 Syracuse University Alumni Club Officers of the Year Award given by the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR).  Many thanks to all our local alumni for their support of our chapter and making this achievement possible.
